Today, I arrived in Seattle, WA and had a proper look around the city for the first time! I have to say, I think I am in love with Seattle – I could seriously see myself living here someday! I love being by the water and going to Pike Place Market was a dream come true, to be surrounded by so much fresh seafood! I spent almost all of the afternoon exploring Pike Place Market (where I stopped in a cute little restaurant and had about a million pounds of delicious fresh crab) and then I headed up the street to the very first Starbucks ever (another dream come true). I also did some window shopping and got a few giant and delicious jazz apples and baklava from a sweet Greek food stand.

As much fun as I had today, tomorrow the real fun begins! Tomorrow is the first day of Norwescon and none other than the spectacular author of the series A Song of Ice and Fire, George R. R. Martin will be there! I am beyond excited to get to hear him talk and read some of his writing. The con will also feature a lot of other amazing seminars and other nerdy events! I am super excited to see what kinds of cool things I will learn and the fun things I will experience over the next few days!
